The Associated Press Just Got Caught Lying—Again
How the AP’s Dishonest Reporting Got Them Kicked Out of the White House
The Associated Press (AP) just reminded everyone why they were booted from the Oval Office and Air Force One. Instead of reporting news, they’re out here twisting words, manufacturing narratives, and flat-out deceiving the public. Their latest stunt? Misquoting President Trump in a blatant attempt to paint him as a liar.
How AP Twisted Trump’s Words on Social Security
Here’s how the AP butchered Trump’s statement in a way that should be outright disqualifying for any so-called “news” organization:
AP’s Version: On Tuesday, Trump said at a press briefing in Florida that “we have millions and millions of people over 100 years old” receiving Social Security benefits. “They’re obviously fraudulent or incompetent,” Trump said.
See the problem? Trump never said that.
What Trump Actually Said
Trump never claimed millions of centenarians are actively collecting Social Security checks. He pointed out that millions of people in the system are listed as over 100 years old and that the government needs to investigate whether these accounts are fraudulent or the result of bureaucratic incompetence.
But instead of reporting the truth, AP deceptively inserted their own phrase—“receiving Social Security benefits”—before resuming Trump’s quote, making it seem like he was spewing nonsense or attacking elderly Americans.
This is a textbook media manipulation tactic:
End a quote early.
Insert misleading editorial commentary.
Restart the quote to make it seem uninterrupted.
This is not journalism. This is deception designed to mislead the public into thinking Trump was lying.
AP’s Long History of Dishonesty—and Why They Got Banned
If this were the first time AP got caught lying by omission, maybe they could shrug it off. But this is part of a pattern, and it’s why they deserve every bit of their exile from Air Force One and the Oval Office.
Let’s not forget the original reason Trump’s administration cut them off:
AP refused to use “Gulf of America” when referring to the body of water bordering Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Instead, they insisted on calling it the “Gulf of Mexico”—because apparently, respecting national identity is optional when you’re a left-wing media outlet.
That was the final straw. If AP refuses to even acknowledge America’s right to name its own geography, why should they be trusted to report anything else honestly?
Why AP’s Removal Was Justified
The media has no divine right to access the White House or Air Force One. That access is earned through responsible reporting—and AP has proven, time and time again, that they don’t deserve it.
When an outlet like AP actively manipulates quotes to push an anti-Trump narrative, they’re no longer journalists—they’re just Democratic Party stenographers with press badges.
And now, after being kicked off the plane and out of the room, they’re desperately clinging to their last weapon—blatant deception.
The Real Story the Media Won’t Cover
The real takeaway from Trump’s Social Security remarks wasn’t some absurd claim about 100-year-olds cashing checks—it was the fact that the Social Security system is riddled with fraud and mismanagement.
We already know the government has a long track record of paying benefits to deceased individuals and that outdated record-keeping allows billions to be wasted on fraudulent claims. Trump’s point was simple: Investigate it. Fix it. Stop wasting taxpayer money.
But AP didn’t want to report that. They wanted a headline that made Trump look foolish—even if it meant fabricating a false narrative.
The Bottom Line
AP’s dishonest reporting isn’t just a mistake—it’s a deliberate strategy to undermine Trump while protecting the bloated, corrupt system he’s trying to fix.
They lied about Trump’s remarks.
They refused to call the Gulf of America by its rightful name.
They deserved to be banned, and they deserve to be exposed.
Trump’s America-first policies are a direct threat to the media’s power—and they will twist, omit, and distort anything they can to stop him.
This is why Americans don’t trust the media anymore.
And it’s why AP’s exile is just the beginning of the reckoning they deserve.

The question never asked is, If Trump is so awful, why do they have to make things up? Why not just publish the awful things he says?
Adding to your textbook media manipulation tactic:
Share the misquote with like-minded media and platforms, domestically and internationally
As a matter of fact, European media, be they press or TV, quote or translate AP's newsfeed without second thought. In Europe, it's very fashionable amongst the self-proclaimed elist to be a die-hard anti-Trump.
