Federal Agencies Defy Trump’s Order, Still Calling It the ‘Gulf of Mexico’—Absolute Clown Show
The deep state strikes again, this time clinging to outdated maps like a toddler refusing to admit bedtime. Despite President Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the far more patriotic Gulf of America, a handful of federal agencies and media outlets are flat-out refusing to comply. Yes, in true bureaucratic fashion, they’ve chosen the hill of geographic labels to die on.
NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), which apparently thinks it's above the law, continues to pump out documents referring to the “Gulf of Mexico.” Their latest Federal Register update has them yapping about the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council—as if the renaming never happened. Do these people think they get to override presidential orders just because they have a government-issued clipboard?
But it doesn’t stop there. The Associated Press, the same outfit that bends over backwards to accommodate every progressive linguistic rewrite, is also refusing to use the term Gulf of America. They’ll happily swap out “mother” for “birthing person” and rewrite history to suit their latest narrative, but the second Trump exercises his executive authority? Suddenly, journalistic integrity is their hill to die on. Cute.
Other agencies, like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), are actually following orders and making the change. The EPA, in a rare moment of competence, renamed its Gulf division to reflect the correct terminology. The FAA has also started implementing Gulf of America in their communications, because apparently, they still remember who’s in charge. But NOAA? The AP? They’d rather pretend Trump doesn’t exist. Good luck keeping your cushy government job.
What’s happening here is bigger than just a name change. This is a deliberate act of defiance, a small but telling example of how deeply entrenched leftist bureaucracy is in our government. The same government that forces renaming of military bases and rewrites history in real time now clutches its pearls at the thought of renaming a body of water. You don’t get to pick and choose when language matters. If Fort Bragg can be erased overnight, then you can slap America on a damn Gulf.
At the end of the day, this is about control. The ruling class wants to send a message: You don’t matter. Your vote doesn’t matter. Even when your guy wins, we’ll ignore him. They don’t think they answer to the American people. They answer only to their own elite cocktail circuit, where smug bureaucrats chuckle over Chardonnay about how they’re ‘resisting fascism’ by refusing to update a map.
But here’s the truth: the Gulf belongs to America, and the deep state can cry about it all they want. Whether they like it or not, it’s the Gulf of America. And soon enough, they’re going to be forced to say it.
Fire them
A++ x100 🙏🏼
